Our Homes

How many homes have you lived in? My family and I have lived in about 20. We have lived in sand, and snow.
We have lived in hot and cold. What was the hottest place you have ever been/lived in?
What was the coldest place you have ever been/lived in?
Were you ever in a sweltering hot place one moment and a freezing cold the next?

Also, guess what? Me and my friend in my youth group Biscuits
https://talesfromthelamp.blogspot.com/2020/06/biscuits.html
have been chosen to lead the devotional tonight! I'm a little bit nervy though, but am looking forward to it.
Have you ever lead a game or song or something like that?

  1. Hi Lily! I recognize the top picture! I have been there when you were 2 years old. The hottest I have ever been is when I have visited your family in Africa. I have been there two times.
The coldest I have ever been is at a missionary conference in the USA in Illinois. It was 10 degrees below zero and Grampie and I had to wait outside for buses to take us to our dormitories where we were staying. I was a college student then. It was cold!!!!!!
When I was five years old, I remember the snow in Pennsylvania being over my head. My brother shoveled a path through our backyard that I could walk through.

I have led Bible Studies and games before and I get a little nervy too! ;) I hope your time with Biscuits went well. I prayed for you! Love, Grandma

  2. Love this post! Great photos. Same as Grandma, the hottest place I have ever been was visiting you! Probably on our road trip to the oasis last summer, because I had gotten my feet badly sunburned at the beach in the capital the day before, so when we pulled over to get outside and eat my feet were hurting sooo badly in the sun and hot sand! It was awful but then cooling them in the oasis once we arrived was amazing. :)

I have been in some cold places, but never right back to back with a hot place (I don't think). I imagine it is quite a big adjustment!

How did leading Biscuits go? -Abigail
