My Favorite Holiday

What was the longest road trip you have ever taken? Once when we were on holiday, we did a 2 day trip. It took a bit more than half a day to get to the border, but than when we got there, we had to wait for a least half a hour! We finally made our way to our hotel which was half way to our destination! The next day we had a small breakfast of salted bread and eggs and than we were on our way! We traveled for another 5 hours and than we arrived-in time to eat a huge buffet lunch! Later our friends that we had traveled in convoy with, and us went to the pool for a hour. We had asked for a bunk bead for us and a double bed for Mom and Dad, but when we got there, they had given us a single bed for me as well as a cot for my baby brother as well! We had a lot of fun, swimming, hiking, panting up, and flying down the tallest and steepest sand dune around, playing ping-pong, and watching kite surfers in the bay next to our hotel. It was fun!

  1. That's awesome! Was this the best trip you've ever taken, do you think? When I was 12, Grampie and Grandma took me and a bunch of my siblings on a long road trip from the East Coast of the U.S. to the West Coast. It took us about 3 weeks, I think? We made a lot of stops on the way and saw a lot of beautiful national parks! Hopefully someday you'll get to visit some of these places in the U.S., like Niagara Falls and the Grand Canyon. Do you think you'll ever go back to this same place again for another vacation? -Abigail

  2. I love hearing about your adventurous holiday! The longest road trip I ever took was the one Abigail talked about. There was so much to see in the USA that we saw! We saw mountains, deserts, even flat plains and fields. Your mom was with us for most of that trip. Sometimes we would stop at a beautiful park and Grampie would ask us to get out of the car to see something beautiful. Sometimes everyone was crammed in their seats and too tired to get out of the car. He would coax us to get out and we never regretted it! There is so much beauty in the world!
